We’ve been designing posters for Cat’s Cradle and other shows owner Frank Heath presents for a few years now. One look through our site and you will see that work. We love doing it since it keeps us connected to our past (sometimes current) lives in the music business and we are often designing for artists whose music truly inspires us. And, for a club that means so much to us.
So, Ryan just knocked out an incredible series of posters for The Hold Steady show next Wednesday 8/31 and our ace intern Michelle rocked out an equally cool poster for the Weepies show 9/6. Behold them all in this here post. For the record, Ryan claims this was a straight-edge party with no shenanigans (but a lot of insanity). Shout out to Reid Haithcock for the photos– check out his site. Michelle hand illustrated this ocean scene on The Weepeies poster as inspired by one of their songs.
Speaking of the Cradle, they are undergoing some exciting new renovations meant to make a great club even better. The entrance is relocating towards the rear of the building opening up more floor space and allowing for a bigger stage. If you were at the Archers show last weekend you saw some of this in progress. We urge you to come out to The Hold Steady and see even more changes.
